Ready for the chalenge?
A experienced Skipper will take you for an unforgetable adventure, both exiting and relaxing. Feel the sun on your face, the wind in your hair. Enjoy the gentle moving of the vessel on lakes and rivers with everchanging views.
You don’t have any sailing experience? Relax.. All our Skippers enjoy to teach your group the art of sailing. You will be manning the ropes and hoisting the sails. The constant changes of the waters’ current and moving sandbanks offer many challenges. Skippers will explain the chart and navigation. Or do you prefer to just sit on deck and watch? The Oosterschelde is teeming with wildlife, who knows when you will see Seals or Porposses swiming along the ship or sunbathing along the shores.
Zierikzee, homeport of most of the Zierikzee sailing fleet
This picturescue old town was established during the Dutch Golden Age and its original harbor is a prominent destination for vacationers with their yachts from diffrent countries. Zierikzee has a working windmill by the ports’ entrance. From there you can see Zierikzee’s fishing fleet unloading the sea’s bounty. This beautifull old town with its many monumental buildings are part of National Park Oosterschelde.
We can dock at severall sandbanks in the middle of the estuary and walk the shoreline looking for shells or other treasures or we can visit towns such as Goes, Veere of Middelburg and experience the Dutch culture and traditions.
Active sailling or just relax?
The Zierikzee sailing fleet vessels are also exiting and safe for small children. They can help with sailing the vessel. Guests who just want to relax can do so comfortably on deck or below deck in the cozy guest quarters. Some vessels are accessible for people with disabilities.
This will be truly an unforgetable experience for everyone!

If you choose a daytrip or would you like to spend multiple days on board with us, you can enjoy typical Dutch fare and treats. A varied selection of sandwiches , fishsoup, fresh mossels or other typcal Dutch snacks are avilable. An oceaan of possibilities which you can wash down with a good glas of Dutch spirits, cheers or as we say in Dutch, proost!.
An overnight on board
An overnight on board a traditional sailing vessel is very special experience. Our fleet have ships with 12 to 24 bunkbeds devided over severall cabins. Listen in your own bunkbed to the water and feel the vessel calmy moving which will you rock to sleep. everyone has their own space!
